Here is what we did today!
Assembly: We started off the day with a presentation on Terry Fox! Reminder that pledge forms are due September 29th
Spelling: We went over our new words for the week on hard and soft c and g.
UOI/Language: We went over a new type of sentence called a 2A sentence. This should be used to describe a noun.

Lunch/Recess
UOI: Today we continued to work on our friendship story. We went over what should be included in an introduction. We decided that characters should be identified and described including some of the following: personality, names, age and what they look like. Next the setting should be identified and should include at least 5 sentences. Also the students were encouraged to use a 2A sentence. They had 40 minutes to complete the 5 sentences in class and if they did not finish then it was homework.
Math: Today we worked on missing numbers and fact families again. I played a game with the students. I told them I had 13 buttons in my hands; 8 in one hand and they had to guess how many buttons were in the other hand. They talked with their partner and they figured out how to answer the questions. Next they completed questions from the textbook.
