Here is what we did today.

Spelling Test: They all did very well! They will receive their score today.
Lunch/Recess
Language: Today we worked on writing hooks for stories. I explained five different ways to hook the reader in: dialogue, a question, vivid description, interesting facts or sound effects. The students were split into groups and each given a category and created sentences using that story hook. Next the students presented their hooks to the class. They did a great job!
Math: Today we played math games!
1. Zoom (mutliplying and adding game)
2. Roll, double and cover (Practice doubling)
3. Clever cars (adding and subtracting)
4. Math Baseball (adding two digit numbers)
Lunch/Recess
UOI: Today we used what we learned in language and wrote an interesting hook for our friendship story!
Reading buddies: We read to Ms. Bancud's SK class!
