We had a great day today! Here is what we did today.
Assembly: We talked about the houses.
Gym: As we had an assembly this morning, we didnt have a lot of time for gym. Please see Mr. H's blog for more information.

Lunch/Recess
Classroom rules: We talked about how we wanted our classroom to run and what the rules should be.
Games: We played a few get to know you games so we can learn more about each other! First we played a starburst game. Each child was given four starbursts. Each starburst represented a question
1. Favourite subject
2. Goal for the year
3. Something you are excited about
4. Favourite tv show
Next we played a board game! Each student was paired with someone that they do not know very well and they played a get to know you game with that. While they were doing that we took some "First day of third grade" pictures!! They look really cute!
Finally we did a scavenger hunt! Each child had to fill out a a sheet that had various summer activities and they had to find a new person for each activity! It seems that everyone had very a eventful summer!
