Here is what we did today.
Spelling: This week the kids have a review of the past five lessons. On Friday, the test will be 3 words from each section. They should be reviewing the words from each section.
Language: Today our chapter was on "Dance at Grandpa's". Grandpa had a sugar off and a dance for his family and friends. After this we wrote a letter as an invitation to someone about the dance they were invited to, as if it were 1963! They did a great job!

Lunch/Recess
Language: We had time to finish our language letters.
Math: Today we learned about circle graphs! We reviewed fractions of a circle, specifically, 1/4 and 1/2. We also reviewed how to know if a section of a circle graph is 1/4 or 1/2 without a number telling them so. I told them to cover up half and look at where the lines are. Finally they completed some work from the textbook.
UOI: They had time to finish their summative's and practice their presentations.
Lunch/Recess

Math: We reviewed venn diagrams and what we put in each section. We talked about how each item cannot be put in more than one section. They need to think about each attribute and how which section they need to be put in.
