Here is what we did today.
Language: We put our books together and practiced reading our stories. I laminated the front covers so they were very excited! Next we presented them! The videos will be posted once we have finished them all. Stay tuned!

Lunch/Recess
Math: Today we talked about angles! First we talked about what angles are measured in and found out they are measured in degrees! They remembered that a right angle is in the shape of an L and found out that it is 90 degrees. Next we found angles that were less than 90 degrees and are small and larger than 90 degrees and are wide. We used two rulers to form an L to see if it fell within the L it is less than 90 degrees and if it fell outside of the L it is more than 90 degrees. Next we went searching in the hallways for angles! I put them into partners and they went to find a right angle, a angle less than 90 degrees and more than 90 degrees and took a picture. I took a picture of their pictures! Take a look!
UOI: We started a new unit today on plants and soil. First we figured out what we know about plants and soil and what we want to find out by looking in our UOI books. Next we went outside to get soil samples! We learned that when soil gets wet it turns to mud! Next we used cups to bring in the samples and analyzed how they felt and looked what we inside of them! We found plants and even a worm! Ms. Glover's class found a worm as well so we have put our worm (Tiny) in a jar with air holes to become our class pet. They had so much fun!
We have also already seen some action! The class has started a soil savers club! They are going to pick up garbage outside during recess in order to save the planet! Stay tuned for more information on the soil savers club!
