Hello,
Here is what we did today.
UOI: We started off with a soil experiment! We took some soil from outside and put it inside our mason jars. Next we filled the jar up with water and shook up the jars so it was all mixed together. Now we are going to leave it overnight and check our jars out tomorrow! Next we talked about how soil is important to different people and what would happen if we didn't have soil. Next we talked about the different types of soil: silt, loam, clay and sand. We learned that if it is silt it will be powerdy and smooth. If it is sandy it is gritty and clay will be sticky. We learned that loam is the best type of soil to plant in as it has humus in it which gives the soil nurtients. We completed a worksheet together in class.
Math: Today we talked about classifying shapes into venn diagrams. We made a list of different ways that we could classify shapes and then we created a venn diagram.
Lunch/Recess
The rest of the day the students who brought in $35 went to kidsports playground! We had a great time. The rest of the students spent the day with Ms. Hung. Here are some pictures!
Have a good night!
