Here is what we did today.
Language: Today we talked about persuasive speeches. We read through a persuasive speech and identified the OREO in it. Next we planned out our own persuasive speech on uniforms! Everyone did really well.

Lunch/Recess
Math: Today we talked about using congruent shapes to make other shapes. We used geometric blocks to make new shapes and find the parallel lines. They had to make several shapes in order to create shape with one, two, three and no parallel lines. It wasn't easy!
UOI: Today we talked about composting! First we watched a video on composting and then made a list of what composting is and what the benefits are. Next we created composting posters! They will be up in the classroom tomorrow!

Lunch/Recess
I introduced them to their arts night song and we did one of our UOI presentations from our story unit.
