Here is what we did today.
Language: Today we worked on a story paragraph based on the comic strip they completed! We talked about the differences between a story and a comic strip. They told me that a story has more detail in the words. As a result, we wrote a small story paragraph to explain our comic strips. They needed to have a topic sentence to hook the reader, supporting sentences with dialogue and description and closing sentences to end the story. They wrote a rough draft and then a good copy.

Lunch/Recess
Language: We continued to work on our story paragraphs
UOI: Today we worked on writing spooky paragraphs! We worked with Ms. Glover's class and looked at pictures on the TV that we could describe using our five senses. We talked about how they made us feel as well. Next we came up synonyms for scary, dark and scream. Finally we wrote scary descriptions for a monster! We used our five senses and talked about how they made us feel. They did so well!
Lunch/Recess
Math: We did review for the test on Friday. A review package has been sent home.
We ended the day with Gym.
