Hello,
Here is what we did today.
Language: Today we reviewed comparing and contrasting again. I read them the fable "The tortoise and the Hare". Next we talked about the moral of the story. After that we used a venn diagram to compare the tortoise to the hare. Finally we went over our answers in order to understand new ideas.

Math: Today we talked about finding number patterns in a table. First I gave them a few examples and they found the answers and pattern rules together. Next we took up the answers and did some textbook work.
Lunch/Recess
UOI: We continued to talk about fables. In groups we wrote our own fables. We talked about how they are short stories with a moral at the end of the story. They had to be communicators, open minded and thinkers in order to communicate effectively. First they made a plan then wrote the fable together. It was good writing practice and allowed them to see how other people write their stories and receive new ideas.
