Here is what we did today.
Language: Today we worked on the parts of a satisfying paragraph. We talked about the topic sentence and how it tells us what the paragraph is going to be about. Next we talked about supporting details that support the topic. Next we talked about the closing sentence that sums up the paragraph. Next we talked about transition works that connect each sentence such as next, first or second. The first activity we did some arranging sentences on the board to form a satisfying paragraph. We figured out what the topic sentence was, the supporting details, the closing sentence and the transition words were in each paragraph. Next we identified the topic sentence, the supporting details and the closing sentence in 3 paragraphs with our groups. Finally we did a worksheet.

Lunch/Recess
UOI: Today we read our fractured fairy tales to the class. Stay tuned for the videos!
Math: Today we talked about related facts. We learned about relating multiplication to division by writing related facts. For example: 4x5=20, 5x4=20, 20/5=4, 20/4=5. The students seem to understand this concept well! They will be provided with a review sheet as soon as possible for their upcoming test for this unit on Friday and we will be having two full periods in class to work on review together!
Lunch/Recess
Spelling: Spelling is due Thursday and the test is on Friday.
We ended the day with gym.
