We started off the day in assembly and each house chose two people to recite the guy fawke poem. Manny was chosen for zeta! He performed with actions and received 2000 house points! Great work!
Here is what we did on Friday.
Spelling: Tests were given out on Friday and should be returned on Monday.
Language: We reviewed what plural nouns by completing a worksheet in which they had to put either 's' or 'es'.
Math: Today we went over perimeter and an easier method of answering the questions. We did some questions on the board and then they completed the work in the textbook.

Lunch/Recess
Math: We went over area and how area is the INSIDE of the shape. The children made pictures using tangrams. Each shape represents a different 'unit'. A small triangle represents 1 unit, a trapezoid represents 3 units and a hexagon represents 6 units. Once they had made their pictures, and traced it into their books, they had to calculate how many units each shape was worth.
UOI: Today we started working on pioneer poems! The children will be writing an acrostic poem in order to show their knowledge of pioneers. Today they are working on their rough draft.
Some people finished their dolls today! Here they are!

The rest of the class had a chance to perform the guy fawke poem and we had a lot of people do it! Here is who did the poem: Ronit, Vanshi, Aanika, Divyansh, Rajan, Zackery, Eva, Avaneesh, Munira. They all received 1000 house points!
