Hello,

Here is what we did today.

Math: We had some trouble with the math yesterday so we did some extra math practice.
Language: Today we continued to work on inferencing and some students did their DRA's.

Lunch/Recess

UOI: Today we worked on chemical energy! Chemical energy is stored energy that releases a chemical reaction. It has a similar process as mechanical energy. It starts off with potential energy, then moves to chemical change and ends in work. We went through examples on the board and sorted pictures together on the board. Next the children thought of an example process as a group and drew and explained the process of chemical energy.

Math: Today we solved an elapsed time mystery here at St. Jude's!!! They had to read the story and understand each teacher's alibi,  understand the start and end time and calculate the elapsed time. The teacher that was not busy during the time of the crime was the kidnapper! They had SO much fun!!!
