Thursday June 7th 2018

Hello,

Here is what we did today.

Math: We started by talking about predictions which are educated guesses based on what we already know. We did several examples together and talked about how you can see how much of each outcome there is in order to determine your prediction. For example, if red takes up 50% of the spinner and blue takes up 25% and yellow takes up 25% and you do 20 spins, then I would guess 10 spins red, 5 blue and 5 yellow. We did several examples together then did a worksheet and took it up. Then we did an experiment in which they coloured in a spinner 3/4 blue and 1/4 red. We talked about the outcomes, the probability and our predictions. Next we spun the spinner 100 times, recorded what happened and discussed the results.

Language: We did the last page of our report card
UOI: We worked on our summative package.

Lunch/Recess

UOI:We worked on our summative package. Some people started working on their models. Make sure you bring in your materials tomorrow as it is the last day to work on it. The people who finished and did not bring their materials worked in their daily language review folders.
Gym: As they had been working SO HARD...I took them outside for some free play.
