Here is what we did today.
Cursive Writing: We continued working on our cursive book. Some people are behind and will be taking it home to finish up to page 29.
Daily Five: We played some reading board games. They are practicing: antonyms vs synonyms, inferencing and sequencing. They had so much fun!

Lunch/Recess
Math: Today we did a fractions pre test. They sound it hard but it will help me figure out what they already know. Next we played with some fractions manipulatives.
I handed back the math grades for the motion geometry test. Before the test began I told the children that I will not be giving them a opportunity to fix minor errors after they hand it in as they are getting in bad habits of relying on it. When they go into grade 4, they have to get in the habit of checking thoroughly over their work. As a result, I put a list on the board that outlined four things they need to do before handing it in to ensure there was no minor errors. However, some people still not did follow instructions and loss marks as a result. I have given part marks for sections they did correctly. If you have any questions about this please let me know.
UOI: We finished working on our communities expert groups.

Parents can log in with their created emails and passwords and order for the month. They have from now until Feb. 24th at 4:00pm to order.
