Here is what we did today.
UOI: We started the day talking about graphic novels and comic strips. We talked about the differences between comics and stories. We noticed that the difference was the details! Comics have detailed pictures but the words are not detailed. They have strong emotions and short sentences. Next we wrote the speech bubbles for a comic together as table groups. We noticed that we could use the same pictures and produce very different stories because of the speech bubbles! Next we created our own comics! They had a lot of fun and will be on display in the classroom!

Lunch/Recess
UOI: We continued working on our comics.
Math: Today we talked about division and multiplication word problems. We used a flow chart in order to help us understand when to use multiplication and when to use division. They did a great job! Here is what it looks like:
