Here is what we did today.
UOI/Language: Today we started our novel study! We are reading "Little House in the Big Woods." Today we read chapter one. We read through the chapter and talked about the many ways that are different from how we live today. Next we used the descriptions in the book to draw the outside of the house and the inside of the house.

Lunch/Recess
UOI: Today we worked on fire safety! First the kids told me everything they knew about fire safety. They knew a lot! We talked about smoke alarms, stop drop and roll, safety plans and so much more! After this they made a fire safety plan for a house! I gave them a house plan and they had to use different colours in order to show how they would get out of the house. They had a lot of fun!
Math: Today we continued to go over subtraction problems. We went over some together and then they had time to do some independent work.
Lunch/Recess
Math: Continued working independently.
Gym: Mr. H was away so we played a game in the gym with Miss. Glover's class!
