Thursday April 5th 2018

Hello,

Here is what we did today.

Math: Today we talked about different types of measurements. We talked about length, width, height, thickness and depth. Here is the definition of each one.

Length: How long an object is
Width: How wide an object is
Depth: Holds liquid and has volume

Height and thickness is from the base to the top of an object. They are sometimes interchangeable. However, whether or not you are measuring height or thickness depends on the object. For example, you aren't going to measure the height of a sandwich you would measure the thickness. You would measure the height of a sign not the thickness of the sign.

Student Led conferences: We prepared for the conference.

Art: We started an art activity in which we chose an IB learner profile or attitude that they exhibit. They wrote that word in bubble or block letters and made a pattern on each letter. This deals with Principles and elements of design: Pattern, line and emphasis. It was so quiet I was so impressed!

Have a good night!

Miss. Ross
