Hello,

Today was Ronit's birthday! Happy Birthday Ronit!

Here is what we did today.

Language: Today we read a levelled text together and picked out the cause and effect relationships within it. Next they did one on their own.

Lunch/Recess

Math: Today we talked about turns. A turn is the rotation of a shape around a point. They can rotate 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4. They can also be described by the direction they move, clockwise or counterclockwise. We did several examples together and then the kids came to the board and I gave them some questions to do as they came up to the board. Next we did some textbook work. They did very well.
UOI: Today we talked about buying and selling. We talked about how we need things from the country and from the city and how we need to buy and sell in order to survive. They were either from the country or from the city. Each child was given 5 cards which had either country or city items on it which were worth different amounts of points. They had to trade with each other in order to gain what they needed, a bit of resources from both the country and the city. The person with the most points at the end won the game. They had a blast!
