Here is what we did on Friday.
Spelling: Tests will be handed back on Monday.
Language: Today we started working on our letters! We used our previous brainstorming plans to write a letter to someone about the rules and routines of your house before coming over for a sleepover. We will be finishing on Monday.

Lunch/Recess
Math: Today we worked on reflections! We talked about the reflection line and how a picture can be reflected vertically and horizontally. We used the geo-mirrors to reflect a picture and draw the other side. We did two pictures. One that was sent home and one that was coloured (with the same colours on both sides in order to be an accurate reflection). We ended the period doing some textbook work. They had a lot of fun!
UOI: Today we talked about being open-minded as this is our IB learner profile for the month. We read two books. The first one was called "Ish". It was about not being perfect and learning to embrace the imperfections and be open minded. The second one was about Helen Keller. It went through her life story and how people were open minded and what she was able to accomplish as a result. We talked about the use of Braille and how that helped her communicate. They were very interested in her story!
