Have a great summer!

 I wanted to say thank you for such an amazing year! I am so proud of the kids and how far they have come and I will miss them so much! Hello,

Here is what we did on the last day of school!

Awards: We handed out the reflective winners for this month! Our winner this month was Zackery Bennett! Great work Zack!

The house cup winner for this year was.....KAPPA!!!

Next we handed our out fun awards! Take a look!

Ice Cream: We went outside to eat our ice cream!

Math: We played Albert's Insomnia again! They love that game!

UOI: We watched part of "The Secret Garden".

Father's Day: We worked on our Father's day gifts!

Lunch/Recess

Father's Day: We worked on our Father's day gifts!
Math: We played a really fun game called Alberts Insomnia. Each child was given four cards and the goal was to use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to find the answers in consecutive order as high as we can go! They loved it! They were using all four operations to find one answer! I was so impressed! We stopped at 36 today and that is only because it was time for recess! It is a great game for mental math and higher level thinking. Even adults find it fun!

Here is what we did today.

Promotion: We began the day with our promotion ceremony! We all graduated to grade 4! Woohoo!!

Lunch/Recess

Language: We talked about goal making. We created a summer bucket list! We talked about the goals being realistic and specific as this can help to ensure that we actually accomplish them!

Novel Study: We finished the Secret Garden! We loved it! Next we talked about the themes and the moral of the story. We determined that the overall theme was that the garden was magic. As the garden changed it magically helped all the characters evolve together! I encourage you to read the longer version of the Secret Garden with your children over the summer! It is a great book!
